Charrette for Sunapee 2024 / Save the Dates! April 12 & 13, 2024

A two day intensive planning charrette will be held on April 12 and 13, 2024 with a focus on Sunapee Harbor. A charrette is a lively brainstorming session where a team of professionals come together with town officials, civic members and the public. Together, all participants help craft recommendations addressing possibilities for the future. This charrette builds on the initial workshop Plan NH completed in 2007. The recommendations from that exercise inspired in large part the preservation efforts for The Livery in Sunapee Harbor.

Public sessions will take place at The Livery
in Sunapee Harbor
Friday, April 12th
Session 1: 3:30- 5:00 pm
Session 2: 6:30 – 8:00 pm
A public presentation will be made
Saturday, April 13th at 3 pm

The Foundation Construction is Complete!

The completion of the massive project to rebuild the underpinnings of The Livery represents a monumental accomplishment by Sunapee Heritage Alliance.

This goal has been our focus since the very beginning when the first town committee was formed to try and save The Livery.

Northern Borders Regional Commission chose us for a $350,000 grant because without a complete overhaul of the foundation,  the fate of The Livery was still in question.

Now, with current code standards met and new usable spaces created on the stable and river levels, The Livery’s future is secure.

There is still much to be done to beautify and restore The Livery. We invite you to join us as a volunteer or a donor as we continue this work.

Our board will partner with the community to bring The Livery to life with entertainment, classes, events, and fun for all.  Our thanks go out to those whose early support made it possible for us to take the path that led to this great achievement.
